A day after a proposal to install automated speed limit enforcement cameras near schools and parks passed the City Council, Chicago Department of Transportation Commissioner Gabe Klein discussed how the city would choose a private contractor to operate the cameras. Klein said that the city would take bids from several companies and then test their surveillance camera technologies this fall.
Also, Klein indicated that the city would not ticket speeders until 2013 and that the city would install at most 50 cameras next year. The ordinance that passed City Council on Wednesday lets the city install up to 300 cameras.

The technology is still new and far from perfect. And what if you want to contest the ticket/fine, you'll have to take off work to go there and argue your case? http://ifreejailbreak.net/
how the city-limits would accept a clandestine architect to accomplish the cameras. Klein said that the city-limits would yield bids from several companies and again analysis their surveillance camera technologies this fall.
