Ten mental health advocates were arrested last night outside the Woodlawn clinic and their tent city was taken down by police as they camped out in protest of the closing of six facilities. Two city mental health clinics have already been shuttered and four others, including the Woodlawn facility, are set to be closed April 30. The city plans to cut the number of city-run mental health facilities in half and also use public-private partnerships to further consolidate services.  

A couple of weeks back, 23 protesters were arrested after occupying the South Side Woodlawn mental health clinic and more shows of action against the closures were promised.
