Chicago Housing Initiative members rallied outside the Chicago Housing Authority yesterday with a clear point of contention: About 3,400 CHA public housing units are currently unoccupied, even though there's a 60,000 family waiting list for public housing. The Chicago Housing Authority currently provides publicly subsidized housing for 57,000 families, and is reformulating its "Plan For Transformation" where public housing tenants move from high-rises to mixed-income living situations.
CHA says that some of these units are not available due to repairs, or are being transformed into mixed-income developments. CHA is developing a "Plan for Transformation 2.0," that includes a Web site for public comment.
I actually like what you have acquired here, certainly like what you are stating and the way in which you say it. You make it enjoyable and you still care for to keep it smart. I can’t wait to read far more from you. This is really a tremendous website.
