About 50 staff support members started a three-day strike Wednesday at the University of Illinois-Chicago medical center following labor and management unsuccessfully meeting some 30 times to agree on a contract. SEIU* Local 73 represents the staff members.
An SEIU spokesman maintains that the walkout is over raises. PI will have more on this strike later today.
