U.S. Rep. Joe Walsh (R-McHenry) and Democratic challenger Tammy Duckworth had their third debate last night for the 8th congressional district seat, which featured several confrontations and a boisterous Rolling Meadows debate audience. The Chicago Sun-Times runs down the back and forth, which included Walsh holding up a picture of Duckworth shopping, and someone in the audience screaming "What a dork!" at the Tea Party lawmaker.
One matter of substance from the debate was that while Duckworth opposes taking cash from so-called Super Political Action Committees, Walsh readily acknowledged Super PACs role in reviving his campaign. "God bless them," Walsh said of Super PACs, according to the Sun-Times, arguing they were necessary to counter Duckworth's fundraising.
