Who is going to be Chicago's next mayor? That's the question on the minds of both potential voters and media professionals following the surprising news that Mayor Richard Daley will step down from his post after two decades in office.

With the candidate filing deadline now passed and Election Day just three months away, we have a firm idea about which local pols have the best shot to win a seat atop Chicago's city government. Below is our updated mayoral database, which includes background information on each candidate, his or her campaign website, and campaign finance data.
