Will a Chicago President replace a Chicago-born Supreme Court Justice with a federal judge from ... Chicago?

Now that John Paul Stevens is preparing to retire from the high court, possibly within the next month, media leaks suggest that Seventh U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals judge Diane Wood has landed on President Obama's short-list for possible replacements. If she survived what would be a fierce nomination process, Wood would certainly add a strong progressive voice to the conservative court.
