Walsh Leaves Obama Untruths Unchecked At Town Hall, Duckworth Highlights American Dream Tour (VIDEO)

U.S. Rep Joe Walsh (R-McHenry) is under fire, again, for the happenings at one of his town hall meetings.

This time, the controversial Tea Party congressman sat by as a supporter accused President Barack Obama of "sedition", saying the country is losing its freedom because elected officials, including the president, are allegedly falsely representing themselves and their ideologies to get into office.

The woman also implied that Obama was a communist. Walsh let his supporter's false comments go unchecked, stating the following to her afterwards:

However you want to label or define it, don’t you think after three and a half years as a country now we have a really good idea where this president wants to go? There are people in this audience -- it's fine -- who believe in this America we're living under right now. That's fine, that's a legitimate viewpoint. I will fight to my last breath against it, but I wish politicians on the other side would be honest about how they feel.

Here's video of the conversation:

Obama supporters are lashing back at Walsh for allowing such false statements to be made about the president at his town hall meeting without consequence.

"It’s no secret that Rep. Walsh is an extremist Tea Party Republican -- but for him to stand idly by while someone accuses President Obama of being aligned with Nazism is downright shameful,” said Kyran McCann, CREDO SuperPAC’s Illinois District Director. “Rep. Walsh proved yet again that he’s unfit to serve in Congress, and shouldn’t be representing Illinois families in the 8th District."

While Walsh is getting flack -- again -- for the antics and falsities being seen and heard during his town hall meetings, his Democratic opponent, Tammy Duckworth, has released a new video detailing her latest encounters with voters in the 8th congressional district via her American Dream Tour.

“Tammy is meeting with voters across the 8th district to listen to their stories and hear about what they need from their Member of Congress,” said Kaitlin Fahey, Duckworth's campaign manager. “Each tour stop has produced great ideas and insightful comments and we’re looking forward to sharing those thoughts, as well as continuing to hear more from 8th district residents during future stops.”
