The arraignment of former Chicago Public Schools (CPS) CEO Barbara Byrd-Bennett is scheduled for Tuesday morning.
She is slated to appear before U.S. District Judge Edmond Chang, reports the Chicago Tribune.
The ex-schools chief was indicted Thursday for allegedly steering $23 million in no-bid CPS contracts to the principal training company SUPES Academy, Byrd-Bennett's former employer.
Byrd-Bennett faces 15 counts of mail fraud and five counts of wire fraud. She is expected to plead guilty to the federal charges.
The arraignments of Gary Solomon and Thomas Vranas, co-owners of SUPES Academy who were indicted alongside Byrd-Bennett, are set for Wednesday.
