Sandi Jackson, a former Chicago alderman and wife of Jesse Jackson Jr., may report to prison Tuesday to begin her one-year sentence for filing false tax returns.
She is expected to head to a minimum-security prison camp in West Virginia this week and could go in as early as today, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.
Former U.S. Congressman Jackson Jr. completed his prison sentence in September for stealing some $750,000 from his campaign fund. He was also convicted of wire fraud and conspiracy to make false statements.
Sandi is set to head to prison for acting alongside her husband and filing a false tax return.
UPDATE 19 (11:53 a.m.): Sandi Jackson has reported to prison, according to the Sun-Times. She was accompanied by her husband as well as family members and reached the facility at about 11 a.m. EST. She is prisoner number 32453-016.
