A threatening note was left on the door of the Planned Parenthood in Champaign, Illinois earlier this week, just days after the shooting at a Planned Parenthood in Colorado.
Local police and the FBI are working with Planned Parenthood of Illinois to investigate the incident at the facility at 302 E. Stoughton Ave., which has remained open this week. The specifics of the note have not been released to the public.
"We will never back away from providing care in a safe, supportive environment that our patients rely on and trust," said Planned Parenthood of Illinois President and CEO Carole Brite. "We will continue to work closely with law enforcement agencies to ensure that our doors are open to all people who need high-quality, compassionate health care."
