Early, in-person voting has begun in Illinois, starting Thursday, and will continue through November 7.
Early voting sites can be found on the Illinois State Board of Elections website. In rural areas in the state, early voting will take place at local county clerk's offices. In more populated areas, early voting may be available in more than one location.
In 2012, about 22 percent of the ballots cast were from early voting and the figure is expected to continue to rise in Illinois this election season.
